NYCC has been over for a week. Honestly I didn't read anything coming out at the time that was going to excite me. But that's all changed. While cruising around the blogs that I like to check I read an article at
mangacast.net about the licenses that Yen Press picked up. I remember reading the list but I didn't think anything of the titles. Today looking at the list the crew at
MangaCast included pictures and a little more info about these titles. It seems that most people are excited to see the
Yotsuba&! license transfer from ADV to Yen Press, but I have to say that there is a title that they will be publishing that has me giddy with anticipation. That title is
Crescent Moon Story (Japanese title:
Kagen no Tsukiyo no Monogatari) by none other than one of my favorite manga-ka ever, Hyouta Fujiyama-sama. I just assumed that the only publisher who brought us her works would be Juné but it seems that Yen Press is going to get into the game. I've only read one manga that has been produced by Yen Press but I'll have no worries entrusting my Fujiyama-sama to them. According to
anigamers.com we can look forward to this title in September. I don't know if I can wait that long!
(thanks go out to Ed Chavez at
MangaCast and Evan Minto at
ani-gamers for their info and diligence to bring us this news)
